The Countries I’ve Been To & The Countries I Want To Visit
Introduction
You don’t need to be a world traveler to know that there are lots of amazing places out there. But if you’re like me, you might also have the urge to go explore someplace new—to see new places and meet new people, even if only for a day. The funny thing is that I’ve always wanted to travel the world (or at least parts of it), but I haven’t actually done much traveling outside of my home state. So while today’s post isn’t about planning an exotic trip to some faraway place, it’s still something I think most people could relate to: where have you been? And where do you want (or hope) to go?
I’ve been to 11 countries so far.
I’ve been to 11 countries so far. Here’s where I’ve been, and what I did while I was there:
- Australia – While traveling around Australia, I visited Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
- Canada – I spent time in Toronto and Montreal during my first trip to this country.
- China – Beijing was my favorite city in China! It had amazing architecture that reminded me of New York City buildings (but much older). There were also plenty of museums full of ancient artifacts from all over Asia as well as China itself; one museum even had a miniature version of the Great Wall built inside its walls!
Here are the ones I’ve visited, in order.
I’ve been to the United States, Canada, Mexico and France. I want to visit Spain and Portugal next. Then I think Greece is on my list too (I hear it’s beautiful). After that? Turkey!
And here’s a list of countries I want to visit someday!
I’ve been to a lot of countries, but there are still so many more that I want to visit someday. Here’s a list of countries I want to go:
- Australia and New Zealand because they seem like really cool places for adventures and exploring nature and stuff!
- Japan because it sounds like such an interesting culture with lots of neat things like anime, food, and video games! Plus their language sounds really cool too!
- France because it seems like such a romantic place where you could take your significant other on vacation (or just go by yourself), eat delicious food every day, drink wine all day long without getting drunk off just one glass; basically everything about France sounds amazing!
It’s fun to travel and see new places!

Traveling is a great way to learn about other cultures, people, and yourself. It can also be a lot of fun!
