Wishlist: 10 Video Games I Can’t Wait To Play In 2016
Introduction
I love video games. I’ve been playing them since I was a kid, but the last few years have been especially exciting for me—and for you, dear reader! Video games are getting better and better in every way, from graphics to gameplay to storytelling. And as technology improves, we’re seeing even more amazing games released each year. So if you’re looking for something new to play this year (or just haven’t gotten around to playing your favorite yet), here’s my list of 10 titles that have piqued my interest:
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is the latest game in the Uncharted series, and it’s coming out on May 10th.
If you love action-adventure games with plenty of shooting, this is one for you. It’s also got a great cast of characters (Nathan Drake is back), plus some really fun gameplay mechanics that make it feel like an entirely new experience compared to its predecessors. Plus: we get more treasure hunting!
Final Fantasy 15
Final Fantasy 15 is a role-playing video game developed by Square Enix. It was released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in September 2016, with a Microsoft Windows version planned to be released later in 2017. The game follows the story of Noctis Lucis Caelum, heir to the throne of Lucis and his companions as they travel across a land called Eos on their way to Altissia where they can see their home country again after ten years away from it due to an attack from Niflheim Empire.
Final Fantasy 15 has received mostly positive reviews from critics praising its visuals and music; however there have been some criticisms about its combat system being too easy compared to previous installments.[8][9][10]
The Legend Of Zelda Wii U
The Legend of Zelda Wii U is coming out soon and I can’t wait for it. It’s a brand new game that will be set in the same world as The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, but it might not focus on Link or any other character from the series. There’s no official release date yet, but it should be out sometime in 2016!
The first thing I did after getting my hands on this game was go into a forest where I found an owl statue (not an actual owl). Then I went home and used the blade hidden inside one of my swords to cut open a box full of bad guys who were trying to kill me—which they failed at because my sword is awesome and sharp!
Pokémon Sun
Pokémon Sun and Moon, the latest installment in the popular series, will release on November 18th. The game has been developed by Game Freak (makers of both Pokémon Red and Blue), who also worked on a previous version called Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition for Nintendo 64.
The story for this version is set in an alternate universe where humans don’t exist on its own planet—a world filled with animals instead. You play as a child who lives on this island with your father, mother and sister until some kind of accident occurs that separates you from them all while they’re away at school one day! After finding out what happened to everyone else during your absence from home (and discovering some new things about yourself), you begin exploring around town trying different things like playing sports or singing karaoke at night clubs until eventually meeting up again… only now there’s two versions floating around instead of one!”
Pokemon Moon
Pokemon Moon is the latest entry in the Pokemon series. It will be released on November 18, 2016 for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. The game is a role-playing game for anyone who wants to take their collection of pocket monsters online or offline. The Alola region was previously only explored in Pokemon Sun & Moon, but now you can explore all of it!
In addition, there are some new features that have been added such as Ultra Beasts (which are genetically created Pokemon) and enhanced graphics over previous titles:
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a turn-based strategy game developed by Ubisoft and released for the Nintendo Switch in August 2017. The game features traditional Mario characters, but also includes Rabbids from the popular Ubisoft franchise. In this world, players must fight together to save Princess Peach from a mysterious creature known as the Bwahduduo (which is a combination of Bowser and Donkey Kong).
The gameplay combines elements from both genres: you can move your character around freely while they’re on screen; they will automatically attack enemies once they are in range; and there are also special attacks that require some strategic planning before using them.
Just Cause 3
- Explosions
- Vehicles: From planes to cars and everything in between, Just Cause 3 has it all. You can take control of any vehicle you find and wreak havoc on the streets or countryside.
- Action: You’ll be able to jump from building to building as well as fight off enemies with guns, knives and even your bare hands if need be! And when things get too hairy for you? Just call in some airstrikes from an unmanned drone for a little extra firepower (and hilarity).
- Destruction: There are many ways you can destroy things in Just Cause 3—from blowing up vehicles with missiles or explosives to simply throwing objects at people. If they’re not dead already? They will be soon enough!
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
- The game is set in London during the Industrial Revolution and you play as twins Evie and Jacob Frye.
- The gameplay is similar to previous games in the series, such as Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and Assassin’s Creed III.
- It will be released on October 23, 2015
The Last Guardian
The Last Guardian is an upcoming PlayStation 4 game that’s being developed by genDESIGN and Team Ico. It’s set in a fantasy world, where you play as a boy who befriends a giant feathered creature called Trico. The gameplay will be similar to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus: you’ll have control over Trico while walking around an unknown environment, solving puzzles along the way (and maybe fighting enemies).
The release date was originally scheduled for December 2015 but has been pushed back twice already—first to 2016, then once again to 2017 before finally landing on its current date of October 25th, 2018.
I’m excited for all these games.

Conclusion
I think that’s it for now! I hope you enjoyed reading about all these games and will be looking forward to playing them in 2016.
